Back to news

Beware of phishing emails purporting to be from members of the Fundsmith team requesting money transfers or asking you to click a link to download a file.

Fundsmith take cyber security very seriously, please use the below as a guidance to keep safe online especially when it comes to communicating with Fundsmith.

If you’re not expecting an email from someone at Fundsmith then this may not be legitimate. Please do not reply and report it to us at cybersecurity@fundsmith.co.uk.

Fundsmith will never ask for payment via a link or attachment on an email.

We are aware of two bogus domains that have recently been registered:

  • FUNDSMITHEQUITY.CO.UK
  • FUNDSMITHS.EU

We strongly urge all clients to consider blocking emails from this domain and be aware of the potential for fake information or money requests, malicious attachments or links coming from emails from this domain or other imitators.

Fundsmith is monitoring the situation and liaising with domain registrars to have these domains closed.

We are also aware of a Whatsapp group called “Stock market enthusiasts alliance 88” led by people purporting to work at Fundsmith. This is a bogus claim and we advise all clients to block this and other Whatsapp groups making similar claims.

If you have any queries on this, please contact us on 0330 123 1815.
