Beware of Email Phishing

Beware of phishing emails purporting to be from members of the fundsmith team requesting money transfers.

Fundsmith take cyber security very seriously, please use the below as a guidance to keep safe online especially when it comes to communicating with Fundsmith.

  1. If you’re not expecting an email from someone at Fundsmith then this may not be legitimate. Please do not reply and report it to us at cybersecurity@fundsmith.co.uk
  2. Fundsmith will never ask for payment via a link or attachment on an email.
  3. If you do not have sufficient email protection, then there is a chance that the email address displayed in the email looks like a valid email until you click on reply and the email changes to a different email address – see below as an example. Please do not reply and report it to us.

Visible in the email header

From: Fundsmith <email@fundsmith.co.uk>

Not visible in the email but visible in the header information of the email and when replying:

Reply-To: email@fundsmth.co.uk

The bogus domain name could be:

FUNDSMTH.CO.UK
FUNDSMTIH.CO.UK
FUNDSSMITH.CO.UK

FUNDSSMTH.CO.UK

We strongly urge all clients to consider blocking emails from these domains and be aware of the potential for fake information or money requests, malicious attachments or links coming from emails from these domains or other imitators.

Fundsmith is monitoring the situation and liaising with domain registrars to have these domains closed.
